Children

Children Programs

 Ages 4 to 6th Grade

Welcome to our Children's Department.  There are a variety of exciting children's activities here at New River Baptist! On Sunday Morning's, children can attend Sunday School classes at 9:15 Am. Here they will learn about Jesus and become familiar with the Bible stories that will help build faith in their hearts. After Sunday School, they will go into the sanctuary with their families for the musical part of the worship service, but prior to the sermon, parents have the option of sending their children to Children's Church, where they will hear a message and have activities more suitable for their age group. (In addition, there is a nursery for younger children as well as a "Cry Room" in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who needs it.) On Sunday evenings during the school year  AWANA meets  from 5 PM to 7 PM.  AWANA is a fun filled Bible scripture memorization program.  On Wednesday nights. the  River Kids Program meets at 6:30 PM   During the summer, we have the most amazing VBS (Vacation Bible School) event.  Our kids are also able to attend a summer camp! In addition, during the school year, various fun events like Trunk or Treat, Egg Hunt, Nerf Wars and other fun activities are offered. New River Baptist is truly a great place to be a kid!! We would love to have your children join us!

Nursery

We have a Nursery program for all the little ones from newborn to age 3.  All of our volunteers are back ground checked.

2025 VBS - Magnified

MADE TO MAGNIFY GOD!

Magnified! VBS will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together! We were made to magnify God!

AWANA Club

Awana Clubs is built on our 3B ministry philosophy of child discipleship: Belong, Believe, Become. Children build spiritual resilience when they feel they belong to Jesus, when they believe in the truth of the Bible and then become disciplemakers in their own right
