The mission of the Student Ministry at NRBC is to reach the teenagers of St Amant and the surrounding area with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We desire to provide an atmosphere where all youth feel loved, accepted, and protected, where the truth of God's word is uncompromised, and where young people are taught and challenged to live according to the standards of God's Word.
The Student Ministry at NRBC strives to train those who will shape the future and develop leaders for the church even today.
The strategy of the Student Ministry at NRBC centers on God's Word. As Peter told Jesus, "You have the words of eternal life."
Our youth do have a lot of fun here. When they have fun, students want to come back. When they keep coming back, the other students become their peer group. When the other students become their peer group, then they don't want to miss anything going at church. At that point, we really get to pour into their lives with the Word of God, and the Word of God, culminating with a relationship with Jesus, will change their lives.
Ultimately, that is our desire, to introduce them to Jesus and help them grow in Him. If they come to NRBC and have fun but leave here without salvation, we have failed. Yet, if they come and have fun and MEET JESUS, we have changed their eternity.
As Christians, we believe in the sanctity of life. Therefore, we believe that every teenager who enters the doors of the NRBC Student Ministry is someone that God loves and values enough to send His Son, Jesus to die for them.
This means that they are valuable enough to speak the truth to them- the truth of His Word. That truth is absolute - NOT subjective. We do not believe that each person has their own truth. God's Word is truth and the values outlined in His word are the values that we cling to and the values that we teach young people..
We believe that the truth of God is imperative for the success of the next generation.
